Our Journey

Our Story

2018

Founded

English Groupie was founded with a simple mission: make English education free and accessible to all.

2019

First Classroom

We opened our first community classroom, serving 25 adult learners in our inaugural semester.

2020

501(c)(3) Status

English Groupie received official nonprofit status in 2020, enabling us to grow our programs and impact.

2021

Going Virtual

We expanded to online learning, reaching hundreds of new students across the country.

2022

Youth Programs

We launched our Youth Literacy Program, extending our mission to the next generation.

2024

Growing Strong

Today we serve 500+ students across 15+ communities with 8 distinct programs and 40+ dedicated volunteers.
